The artwork starts to pull together. We spend a morning with the children decoupaging the cabinet with old books, the moth prints and an opportunity to draw where they can find a dry spot on the cabinet.
The cabinet is lifted by 5 people onto the upper stage, its final position. The story starters are delivered,: tied scrolls that sit in tubes.in the cabinet. These ‘egg’ tubes will act as an incubator for future stories. The teachers will lift them out to share with their classes in literacy and art lessons. The frames are built around the cabinet resembling cocoons and nests. What stories will this cabinet lead to. what will the next early Years class think as they glimpse it in their first school assembly?
