An end of primary school treat for a class that loves art. The etching press came to school for the first time and we worked with the students to make memory zines of their time at the school: everything from school dinners to who kissed who.
This is a forest school and the print press was used to print natural objects to remind of times spent out in the woods. We also printed found objects to remember people and events, created a memory map on handprints and created a personal tag by carving a rubber stamp.
The students were so engrossed that they carried on all afternoon after we’d left when they could have been watching movies.
